Top 5 Favorite Apps Right Now

There are so many different apps on my phone, but some I definitely use more than others. I wanted to share which apps I use and value the most!

This first one is kind of a weird one...AppBlock. And it does exactly what you think it does. I added this one fairly recently because I noticed that I was spending a lot of my day scrolling aimlessly through Facebook and wasting time. It had almost become an unconscious habit, and I really needed to break it! So I downloaded AppBlock which allows you to block apps temporarily or for a set amount of time and truly does not allow you to open the app. While of course I could just get rid of Facebook completely, I do enjoy posting and seeing what people are up to every once in a while. I just wanted a way to stop scrolling constantly and also to fight continuous envy that I was growing to feel. This app has worked perfectly for exactly those needs! I have Facebook blocked on my phone from 8AM until 9PM every day, and it has been such a blessing! I highly recommend this app if you need similar restrictions and don't want to get rid of the app completely.

Next up is good ole Youtube. There is obviously not much that needs to be said here because Youtube does not need free marketing from anyone! But I do love to watch a nice Youtube video a couple times a day. I watch some Good Mythical Morning episodes, a few vloggers and several Booktubers! It just depends whose videos are up and what sounds most interesting. I also LOVE Drew Binsky and Unreported World - really great unique content about different countries around the world.

Number three should be no surprise based on some of my other content - Libby. Why pay for audible or buy audiobooks when there are several great free audiobook apps? I have Libby through my local library, and while it's annoying to have to wait for a book sometimes (like libraries usually work), I am almost always able to find something that piques my interest. I love the variety that Libby offers, and their quality of books is fantastic. I used Hoopla with my previous library, and while free audiobooks are great no matter what, Libby is far superior in my opinion. Let me know in the comments if you have a favorite audiobook app!

I cannot work in complete silence; I am more productive when I have music on in the background, so of course Spotify has to be on this list! We do pay for Spotify premium so that we don't have ads and we can play any songs we want, and I think it would be hard to go back. I have so many playlists and artists and albums that I enjoy and I switch around listening to them all, so Spotify is perfect for what I need. They always have the music I'm looking for, and I enjoy making my own playlists with my favorites in different genres

This last App is key for those of us with the Android/Apple technology mix - Send Anywhere. If you've ever had an iPhone and a Mac, then you know how convenient airdrop is when transferring pictures between your devices. So when I switched to a Galaxy, I missed that feature almost immediately. I scoured the internet for any ideas on how to easily transfer pictures between devices, and Send Anywhere was one of the first that I found, and it is truly amazing! It is simple but works so effectively. Through an app on your phone and laptop, you can send pictures to any other device that has the Send Anywhere app with just the click of a button. It has been a lifesaver for me, and I totally recommend it if your devices are incompatible for doing so naturally.

There you have it! My top 5 favorite apps right now! Let me know in the comments what apps you love and maybe I'll give one a try!
